Houzz Interview: The MadeByGirl of Jen

We fell in love with Jen’s wonderful art work several months ago when Vivian (Ish and Chi) decided Jen’s love print as her houzz interview give-away present.
A few months after, Jen has joined the houzz neighborhood and uploaded some of her wonderful house pictures. These photographs have rapidly became quite popular and were saved for inspiration in several ideabooks.
Jen, the proud possessor of the successful website and paper goods firm madebygirl, is residing and operating her business from her magnificent house in Vegas, Nv (how fortunate she should be!).
I’m quite joyful to introduce one to the gifted designer, artist and blogger Jennifer Ramos and her site MadeByGirl.

Please inform us about your “first assembly” along with your residence to be

I loved the lay out of my home when I first walked in. Being that it was the biggest house we were shown by my real estate agent, we made a decision to purchase it immediately. It was fairly pretty much looked after, since going in 3 years past but we have completed several updates.

The opening of your remodeling procedure

We determined on renovating the kitchen as a result of poor water flow underneath our cupboards.

The largest renovation problem you faced

The kitchen. After we found out we had a water flow that is poor, we needed to rip out all cupboards and counter tops from the kitchen. The counters before restoration were made of concrete (these were were aged) and were quite heavy to get rid of and difficult to split apart. We also did not have a kitchen to enter for about 4 times….really frustrating.

Your favourite design as well as colours

I ‘ve several favourite designs… I actually enjoy modern-day along with some classic pieces that are older. I really like the colours pink, yellow, turquoise and greens.

A place in your house which makes you quite happy/proud

My primary living room in addition to my kitchen nook ingesting space.

Your special accessory/furniture/artwork

This is rough. I attempt to not get connected to any things (just in situation), but I truly enjoy most of the pictures I Have completed myself. I locate it to be unique and much more significant. In addition, I enjoy my huge French couch.

Your next home job

My laundry area. It truly wants help.

5 issues that houzz viewers should learn about you as well as your site

It Is rather inspirational.
Tons of pictures.
we have tons of home excursions
We post nearly regular
Learn the most recent on what I am do-ing and the latest products added to my store

Best suggestion for the re-modeling newbie

I Had say undertake one job at a time & make positive it gets completed in an acceptable number of time. Occasionally folks begin a job & never complete it…..or they permit it drag-on & on. Shoot pictures of the chamber you want to re-model…..add colours in Photoshop to see what sort of particular wall may seem etc. Look online on furniture arrangement and colour thoughts through sites for inspiration.

finally: as a houzz buddy, Jen has selected a West Elm give-away giftcard to among the fortunate readers that can discuss their ideas about her residence and interview.
