The way to Attain the Carburetor at a Craftsman Tiller

Craftsman tillers run on a two-cycle combustion engine. The carburetor runs on the fuel tank and the engine. Its job is to regulate the intake of fuel as the tiller runs at varying speeds. It’s rare for a carburetor to require complete replacement because it can be reconstructed using kits from the manufacturer. Replacement is costlier, but much easier than the usual rebuild and is occasionally necessary, even when putting the time right into repairs.

Drain all the fuel in the gas tank into a gas can. Unscrew and remove the air filter cover and air filter. Unscrew the air filter base plate and then pull out. Remove the crankcase and primer lines in the base plate, and place the base plate aside.

Remove the two fuel lines in the carburetor. Slide the old carburetor off of its bolts and remove the throttle linkage.

Thread the throttle linkage onto the new carburetor and slip the carburetor onto the bolts. Attach the fuel lines, using the heavier one around the upper nozzle and the thinner one on the bottom nozzle. Reattach the crankcase and primer lines into the air filter base plate. Expand the base plate into place. Change the air filter and cover, and screw them in as well.
