How Do I Tell the Year of My Poulan Saw?

Knowing the year of your chain saw gives you valuable information which you could use to order parts or check on the warranty coverage to your machine. With Poulan brand gears, look for several distinct markings which is able to enable you to determine the entire year your saw was created.

Gathering Information

If you’ve got your owner’s manual, then turn to the previous page, under the “Emission Control Warranty Statement.” That section will incorporate a small box that offers information concerning the emissions criteria of your machine and will incorporate the year the saw was made. This information may also be on the outside housing of the saw itself, in a box titled “Emission Control Information.” If you can’t locate either of those things, note the model number of your saw from the manual bar or the outside housing of the saw, then visit Poulan’s “Contact Us” Web page (see Resources). Call the service department and supply a representative with your model number to obtain info on if your saw was created.
